In 1959 Peter and Jinny Combs were on their way to
Alaska and stopped by as guests, the rest as they say is history. The
Combs family continues to carry on the western traditions that have made this
part of the country so famous. |

| The Diamond J
was built in 1932, by Julia Bennet. She was a Montana born woman of character
and resolve and started the ranch with little more than grit and vision. The wilderness setting that we treasure today was gained through her initiative and foresight at a time when "dude ranching" was a pretty high risk enterprise. Julia worked hard and built a loyal clientele that came to appreciate her Montana way of serving up hospitality. Her legacy is continued to the present day through Jinny Combs, the current long-term owner. |
